Brian Dziewa

brian.JPG Brian began racing bikes in 1998 “Back then I was fat.” Brian started racing because his father raced. His Father got in to racing when he was 27 because the doctors told him if he didn’t stop running they would have to replace his hips and he knew he could drown swimming so he went to cycling. They were wrong; he kept his hips until he died at 49, those dumb doctors. In that time he transferred his love and passion for cycling to Brian. Although Brian has been racing for 11 years he only considers the last four his serious years, “The bottom line is I love to ride.”

Although it looks like Diz E WAAA hbrian last names is pronounced JAVA. It is Polish, enough said. Brians dad Al, is from Buffalo, NY and mother Kathy is from Philadelphia, PA and somehow they met in Omaha, NE. Brian has three siblings; sisters Mary Ellen and Ann, little brother Robert, one brother in-law Taylor and is engaged to his fiancé (will be his wife in May) Lori. Brian is are Die-hard Buffalo Bills fans and has suffered through four Super Bowl defeats and some rough years since. After the years of the heartache he has suffered as a Bills fan there is talk of the Billls leaving Buffalo and he would be completely devastated “if they leave, I will cry.”

Brian graduated from Farmington High School co-valedictorian and then graduated with Latin Honors from THE University of Missouri in three and a half years with one semester in Spain. He speaks Spanish and has B.S.B.A. with an emphasis in Finance. Add all that up and you might ask why is this guy racing bikes and not on the ocean in a yacht. His answer? “Because it beats having to work for a frat-boy shower bag every day who is definitely not nearly as smart as me.” Brian also likes how burning all the calories he does on his bike allows him to eat a lots of ice cream and cookies and sugar and anything that is sweet. “I can eat so many cookies that I get sores in my mouth from the sugar.”
